Our Purpose

• To develop the spirit of fraternalism and fellowship amongst its members.
• To encourage active participation in community activities.
• To encourage and enhance professionalism within the law enforcement profession to better serve the community.
• To engender exemplary deportment on the part of its members thereby creating respect and goodwill for law enforcement.
• To provide a family oriented social culture atmosphere within the law enforcement community.
• To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.
• To inculcate and preserve in its members the heritage of their Irish culture.
• To recognize and promote the accomplishments and contributions of our ancestors and fellow Irish - Americans.
• To promote positive public sentiment towards law enforcement.
• To communicate and educate the public of the virtues and accomplishments of law enforcement.
• To develop an atmosphere in which the Police and the community work together to reduce crime.
• To aid and assist worthy or needy members (Active or Associate).
• To promote legislation beneficial to law enforcement.
• To aid Active and Associate members' families in the event of a line of duty death.

Membership

Membership in the Society shall be open to all whose sound character is proven to the satisfaction of the members of the Brehon Council, and whose patriotism and pride encourage the welfare and security of the United States of America, and who profess to uphold the Constitution of the United Stated of America.

Membership Types

		Dues
Active	Active or retired sworn Police officers.	$30.00
Auxiliary	Any member of the community who wishes to support the Society.	$15.00
Honorary	Such individuals will be recommended to and approved by the Brehon Council.	N/A
