As many of you know we lost a brother on Saturday, Worcester Police Officer Mark D. Bisnette. Biz was one of the good guys who always seemed to have a smile on his face and time to say “Hello” to everyone where ever he was. Mark was was married to his wife, Erin and the father of four young children. Mark was a former Marine had been on the Worcester force since graduating from the police academy in July 1996.

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Calling hours for Mark will be held Wednesday, January 6, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 7, at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street, Worcester (Please go directly to church for the Mass). Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flower, donations in his memory may be made to the Mark D. Bisnette Memorial Fund, in care of Worcester Police Credit Union, 400 Grove Street, Worcester, Ma 01606, please make checks payable to NEPBA local 911.

The 2008 St. Patricks Day Parade And Party Was A Great Success!

It was cold and windy marching but the feedback I got from people that were watching was that we looked sharper than we ever have and that was evident by the awards.

Congratulations to all who participated especially the color guard who looked like they were parasailing down Park Ave at one point but kept it together.

Also great job by Bob Belsito calling cadence. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t receive anything for the float but realize that the judges were probably so focused on how silly Fran Ford looked that they didn’t give it a proper once over.

Thanks to those who helped make it happen especially Al ” Picasso” Donoghue and Annie ” Van Gough” St. Onge.

HOPE YOU ALL ENJOYED THE PARTY- I’VE HEARD THAT I DID.
